Kitchener is a city in southern Ontario, Canada. Kitchener is located about 100 km (62 mi) west of Toronto. The city covers an area of 136.86 km2, had a population of 233,222 at the time of the 2016 Census. It was the first city to use Niagara Falls hydroelectric power generation, and it became an industrial center with nearby Waterloo.
